Students in high school have the opportunity to participate on the staff of one of the school's publications. The Banner is the school newspaper and is published bi-monthly. Staff reporters gather the news and write articles. Photographers also pursue various stories to contribute interest to the layout. Excelsior is the literary and arts magazine of the school. The staff chooses from submissions of artwork and writing from the student body based on their quality and originality. The ICS Spirit is the school yearbook published annually with the staff contributing to decisions of layout and design. Each staff is headed by an advisor and has potential student leadership positions as well.
