Music is an important part of education at ICS. It is part of the standard curriculum from Kindergarten to eighth grade. High school chorus is an elective.
Children in grades 1-4 can also be a part of the Grace Notes. It meets weekly from January to May.
Students are given the opportunity to take private lessons in strings, piano, or flute during a weekly in-school lesson. These students must be in
grades 4-12.
Students in grades 5-8 may audition for a placement with the Tone Chimes, a hand-held tubular bell group.
The Chamber Singers is an auditioned group of 9-12th graders that meet weekly during the school day. All students must be part of the choir in order to participate.
