Immanuel Christian School

Love for Christ, service before self, and in all things, honor.

Admissions

Immanuel Christian School has students from various Christian traditions and heritages, representing the diverse nature of Hazleton. We place students in the appropriate grade based on testing, not on age. We have currently have limited resources for students with learning disabilities, but are willing to work with students and families who wish to work with our limitations. We will accept students and families who demonstrate agreement with our purpose of education.

We require students to be respectful of parental authority as a prerequisite to enrollment. Children who are not respectful of parental authority will also not be respectful to staff and administrative authority.  The school must be able to appeal to parents to effectively correct and discipline their children.

The application interview determines whether we are the institution that can best serve the family.  Not all students will be happy with the Christian atmosphere that we seek to maintain.  Not all parents will want to maintain biblical standards for attitudes, behavior and character. We desire this interview to be a dynamic situation that will allow us to be successful in determining the parent’s interest in Christian education.

High school students must submit an application and be an active part of the interview process. They will be asked about their commitment to Christian education.
