Immanuel Christian School

Love for Christ, service before self, and in all things, honor.

Goals and Philosophy

Statement of Faith

  1. Concerning Scripture: We believe that the Bible in its original writings (the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and is the only infallible rule in Christian faith and practice.
  2. Concerning God: We believe in one God existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory and identical in essence and attributes.

Philosophy

The foundational beliefs of Immanuel Christian School produce a distinctive approach to education.

    1. Our Philosophy is God-centered.

Man’s chief purpose is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. (Psalm 73:25; I Corinthians 10:31)

Immanuel Christian School is committed to assisting each student in the pursuit of his chief purpose which is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Therefore, we must seek to encourage quality academic work and to maintain high standards of conduct.

    2. Our Philosophy is Parent-primary.

Parents are to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7; Ephesians 6:4)

Immanuel Christian School exists to complement, not replace, the parents’ or guardians’ God-ordained responsibility as their child’s primary nurturers and teachers. Therefore, we believe that as long as a child is under the parents’/guardians’ authority, he/she should be trained in a manner consistent with the primary home environment.

Goals

    1. To provide education that is Christian.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in reighteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."  (II Timothy 3:16-17)

Because God has given us absolute truth in His revelation, the Holy Scriptures, we teach math, science, social studies, art, physical education, language - all subjects from a thoroughly biblical perspective.

    2.  To maintain regular communication with parents.

The elementary teachers use the homework slip and assignment book system to keep parents informed of homework and test schedules. All teachers communicate concerns to parents about behavior and character issues as they arise in the context of school life and will help parents guide their child with biblical counsel.

    3.  To encourage every student to begin and/or develop his relationship with God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ.

"Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God." (I Chronicles 22:19)
